A Place to Meet & Make
Situated in the heart of the Peak District, Dandelion brings a welcome addition to Glossop's mixture of high street and independent retailers. Based in a Grade II listed building, we offer a selection of unique handcrafted pieces by local artisans and makers, crafting workshops for children and adults and craft supplies.
Over 40 talented crafters display their work with us, each one offering beautiful individual pieces, many of which are exclusively available to Dandelion. We offer handmade jewellery, cards, crochet, coasters, prints, toys, ceramics, soaps and body lotions, candles, furniture, dolls and much more.
Our Craft Supplies
Our craft supplies incorporate everything you need to begin a new hobby plus a range of items designed to take you further in your crafting adventures. We have included the basics: card, glue, tape, ink and fabric as well as embossing folders, inks, dies, topper sheets, stencils, and chalk paint. We also sell reclaimed wool, fat quarters, felt, embroidery and needle felting kits. We've recently expanded our baking supplies range to include cake toppers, candles and icing kits.
With two dedicated workshops on our upper floor, we can provide a whole manner of interesting workshops for both adults and children. From junk modelling to knitting, quilling to calligraphy, there's something for everyone. Learn a new skill or fine tune an existing one, above all we aim to have fun! Check out the workshop page for more information and if anything catches your eye you can book your place in the shop or online.
Step Into Christmas!
With Glossop's Christmas lights switch-on, Old Glossop's Victorian Market and other seasonal events, it feels as though Christmas is well and truly upon us!
We've transformed one of our workshop rooms into 'Santa's Workshop' where children can choose a seasonal craft activity and take away a lucky dip prize.
More brand new handmade items have been arriving from our talented local crafters, including raku-fired pieces by Colette Evans, seasonal glass coasters and panels by Gerry Darbyshire, hand-embroidered scenes by Sue Vickers and hand-decorated chocolate baubles by Helen Thornhill.
New additions to crafters who display with us are Silver Bird jewellery, with classic silver jewellery, and Deck The Halls Homemade Decorations, supplying hair bows and handmade indoor wreaths.
New folk art decorative items from Donna Bramall, decoupaged trinket boxes from Wilfsworkshop and polymer clay jewellery by Sophi Martin have also proved very popular recently.
Our Christmas workshops are running right through until 20th December. There's still chance to make your own table decorations, sew your own Christmas stocking, create last-minute gifts and make your own earrings before the big day arrives
